There is incense burning here. The smoke is supposed to be healing smoke so people waft it over themselves. They also fan the smoke onto any part of their body that aches (like shoulders or back).

The large beige thing is supposed to be a "sandal of the god"; these are big gods as it must be 20 feet high! (There's another one on the other side of the gate).


Teri bought a hagoita and had to go around to a side street to find a shop that sold stands.


Here is the shop where she bought her hagoita stand.


This is the restaurant where Teri ate. Brave!


Her meal was "tendon", similar to tempura.


Sensoji looks very festive at night.
