BARCELONA PICTURES (pg 1 of 2)

(Click on the image to see the larger version of the picture.)

A very narrow street near our hotel in Barcelona, typical of the old Gothic Barrio (neighborhood).

Plaza Berenguer, one of the original walls of the old Gothic city

Sagrada Familia - the towers don't look too different after 10 years.

... the facade hasn't changed, but there's more building behind it!

What's New -they built the columns and the roof over the nave!

The rear facade - covered in sculptures of animals and the Nativity scene

I really liked the curved balcony and the glass partitions

The rose window

... and the reflection of the rose window on one of the columns

The strike sign on the gate to the gift shop

The Plaza de Espaņa fountain, which has three sculptures representing trade, industry and shipping.

The road up to the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC) and Monjuic Olympic area, flanked by the Venetian towers.
