We board the train in Wakayama for the trip back to Kyoto. Looking at the signs carefully, Allyn was able to find a reserved seat train that went direct from Wakayama to Kyoto Station that was leaving in just 40 minutes. We went and got tickets (no charge with our Japan Rail Passes) and settled back for a long ride, but at least there was no worries about having to change trains again. In fact, the train dropped us off in Kyoto Station at the closest platform to our hotel.
