Walking from the Gion area back towards town we crossed this river.
A doll shop suggested we try this mall, but we never found any appropriate umbrellas for the doll.
There's a buddhist shrine right in the mall. We guess the shrine predates the mall and the mall was built around it.
This is a full shrine with a Buddha and everything.
A few stores down there is a pathway that leads to a graveyard! We think the sticks seen here are left to commemorate the buried person.
