The trip to Chile!

For Spring Break 2001, I went on a school-sponsored trip to Santiago de Chile. It was an amazing week of meetings, classroom discussions and cultural experiences.  We stayed at the Hotel Plaza el Bosque, in the upscale neighborhood of Las Condes.  Here are some of the photos, and related links.

On St. Patrick's Day, some of the guys got temporary tattoos at Flannery's Irish Geo Pub! (pictured with the "tattoo girls", who spoke very little English)

On the first day, we visited the Cousiņo Macul Winery. It was beautiful!

On Thursday night, we had a reception to thank our corporate hosts... pictured are some of the MBA students from the trip, and our fearless leader, Victor Betancourt (second from right).

Julie, Mike and Caryn, enjoying the reception

On Saturday, we went to Pomaire, a small one-road town full of ceramic craft shops, like this one, which featured nothing but PIGS!

(more pictures coming soon!)

Our group visited a Chilean B2B company called SeNegocia.com.  They have been successful in Chile and Peru, and are moving into Argentina.  We also went to Microsoft's offices in Santiago.  Other groups visited Cisco, Compaq, Unisys, and other, smaller Chilean companies such as LatinValley.com and Bazuka.com.
